- 🦋 Bluesky, the heir to Twitter (for good and bad) - I’d like to use it more, feels like Twitter circa 2016. But i’m not entirely sure that’s a good thing, it still isn’t a good website for posting art. At the very least, it’s not owned by a total chode.
- 😈 deviantArt, relic of internet old - An art gallery I can’t bear to divest myself of, but maybe someday. There’s just enough people I follow here that don’t post elsewhere.
- 🎥 Picarto, for live streaming - I made a new picarto account recently because I wanted to get rid of the gallery on the old one... but they never deleted it? Ah well. I'd like to stream more but it just hasn't fit into my free time as of late.
You may have noticed a few sites are missing. I think I just want to be in fewer places right now. For as little as I do upload these days thinking about all those sites, being spread across them... just makes me anxious. I'm not trying to make any big money of this. I'm just a horny hobbyist. I want a social media site that can double as a gallery. Tumblr was that for a while, and then they capitulated to Apple and payment processors. Since then it feels like there’s been no good solution for some reason or other. Most of the current options lean too much in either the social or gallery directions. Shame no one really glommed on to Cohost. 🤷
